Getting there

The region is connected to countless European towns and cities by way of Weeze Airport, just across the German border near Nijmegen. There are flights to and from London, Edinburgh, Stockholm, Rome and Valencia, to name but a few. Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and the airports in Eindhoven and Düsseldorf are only an hour’s drive away from the region, and there are also good public transport connections (bus/train).

The excellent infrastructure in the Netherlands makes the eastern part of the country easy to reach. Germany is just across the border, and parts of Belgium are less than two hours away by car of coach. So the region is ideal for a weekend break or a day trip, in other words!

The east of the Netherlands is connected to a very extensive rail network and is easy to reach by train. There are many international high-speed rail connections. Arnhem has direct connections with Düsseldorf, Frankfurt and Basel, for example, and the ICE International stops in Deventer on its way to Berlin.

‘The Other Holland’ is also easy to get to from the south. The region is only 4.5 hours from Paris by train, with one change in Amsterdam. From Belgium too, you only need to change in Breda to reach Arnhem, Apeldoorn, Ede, Nijmegen and Zwolle.
