In 2017 Burgers’ Zoo opened the world’s biggest indoor mangrove, recreating the mangrove that the zoo has been helping to preserve for more than 28 years in Belize. The Burgers’ Zoo mangrove is home to a wide variety of creatures including manatees, butterflies, fiddler crabs, birds and various species of fish.
